Verifiable Quality Control on Every Print Run

The design is signed off. The dieline is locked. The colour is proofed. And then 鈥?the print factory delivers a run that looks 5% darker than the proof, and suddenly two thousand colorboxes are on their way to a customer who will not accept them.

On every print run at Fob Auto Parts, we archive two artefacts against the same record:

1. The signed-off PDF artwork 鈥?the exact file the factory printed against, versioned and locked.
2. A short packaging video walkthrough 鈥?recorded before boxing, showing the printed colorbox in real light.

Both are permanent. Both are matched to the design number. Both are available if a claim or an audit calls for evidence.

Why the video matters

A PDF proof tells you what the design was supposed to look like. A video walkthrough tells you what the finished, physical colorbox actually looked like on the day it left the factory. That distinction becomes priceless when:

• A container arrives 6 weeks later and something looks off.
• A customer disputes the surface finish.
• An audit team wants proof that the QC checkpoint was actually walked, not just signed.

The traditional toolkit is still there

Colour cards, dieline overlays, and physical proofs remain part of the traditional QC toolkit. We have not thrown any of that away. What we have added is the digital paper-trail that makes disputes end in minutes instead of weeks:
