About this part

Front left outside door handle 82650-0X050 for the Hyundai i10 first generation, PA model, built from January 2008 to December 2013. The handle is the left hand front unit, moulded in black and supplied paintable for cars finished in a body colour.

This is the outer handle only, without a lock cylinder, which matches the left front door on left-hand-drive cars. The lever runs on a steel pin through a bush and pulls a short rod that trips the latch. The common complaint on the i10 is a handle that lifts but does not release, or one that feels loose and rattles over bumps. Both come from the bush and the return spring, not from the latch itself, so replacing the latch is wasted work.

To fit: lower the window, prise off the inner trim panel, disconnect the rod clip at the back of the handle, undo the two nuts that hold the handle frame to the door, and withdraw the handle outwards. Line the new gasket up before tightening, otherwise water tracks behind the handle and rusts the door skin from the inside. Connect the rod and check the release before the trim goes back on.

For a colour finish, scuff, promote, prime and top coat. The part is also correct as a direct replacement for a black car with no paint work at all.

One handle per pack, mounting nuts included. Front and rear handles are different parts, and the right hand front is a separate number. 12 month warranty.
