About this part

Roof drip side finish moulding 75551-35011-B0 for the right hand side of the Toyota Hilux VI on the LN147, LN167 and RZN147 chassis, built between 1999 and 2001. It is the mirror of the left hand strip, colour coded B0, clipped into the gutter channel above the door aperture.

Its job is to carry water along the gutter and away from the door aperture, and to cover the seam underneath so the metal is not left bare. A strip that has lifted stops doing both: water tracks under it, the channel stays wet, and the seam rusts from the inside where it cannot be seen until it bubbles through the paint.

On these trucks the right hand side usually goes first in left hand drive markets, because that is the side the driver leans on when getting out and the side that takes the sun for most of the day. The clips harden, the strip lifts at the rear, and the wind does the rest at highway speed.

Fit with new clips and start from the front. Reused clips will not hold a new strip for long, and a strip that lifts again usually takes a section of paint with it. Clean and dry the channel first, press each clip fully home, then run a thumb along the full length to confirm it is seated. Every moulding is inspected for clip seating and packed straight, 12 month warranty.
