Buying Spark Plugs by OE number

Spark plugs look like a commodity until you get the heat range wrong. A plug one step too hot causes pre-ignition under load; one step too cold fouls in city traffic. The three numbers that matter are thread size and reach, heat range, and electrode material — and the OE number encodes all three, which is why we quote from the number rather than from the engine size.

We list 235 spark plug references, with the NGK and Denso numbering that most of the aftermarket uses as its reference language. Commonly ordered plugs include BCPR7EIX-11 iridium for Volvo and Nissan applications, BKR5EKU and BKR5EKUD for Volkswagen, BCPR6EY and BKR6EP-11 platinum for Toyota and Honda, and BKR6EKB-11 for Korean and Japanese small cars. Each listing states thread, reach, heat range and electrode material so a cross-reference can be verified without opening the box.

For a quotation, send the OE or NGK number and the quantity. We supply single references in full boxes and mixed boxes for workshops. Iridium and platinum plugs are supplied in the original manufacturer packaging where available; where packaging is bulk, we say so before the order is confirmed.

Thread and reach errors are expensive in a way that price differences are not. A plug that is too long can contact the piston; one that is too short leaves carbon in the last threads and makes the next removal a cylinder-head job. The reach is encoded in the OE number, and it is the first thing we confirm when a buyer sends us an unfamiliar reference.

For buyers concerned about counterfeit stock, we are explicit about what we ship: original manufacturer packaging where the reference allows it, neutral or our own packaging otherwise, and the packaging type stated on the quotation. If a market inspection requires original boxes, say so at inquiry stage — it changes which references we can offer, not the price alone.

Frequently asked questions

Are these genuine NGK or Denso plugs?

We supply plugs under the numbering system the aftermarket uses, in original or neutral packaging depending on the reference and the order. Tell us at quotation stage if you require original manufacturer packaging and we will confirm what is available for that reference.

How do I confirm the heat range is correct?

The OE or NGK number encodes the heat range. Send the number from the plug you are replacing and we will confirm the equivalent. If you are changing the engine specification, tell us and we will not guess — heat range selection depends on the build.

What is the difference between iridium, platinum and nickel?

Iridium has the longest service life and the finest centre electrode; platinum sits between; nickel is the lowest cost and the shortest interval. The listing states the material for each reference, and the correct material is set by the OE specification.

Do you supply plugs for LPG or CNG conversions?

Yes — for converted engines, tell us the fuel and the gap requirement. Standard plugs can be used one heat range colder in some conversions, but the specification must be confirmed per engine, not assumed.

Can you supply plug sets for a full service?

Yes. Mixed boxes covering several references are packed for workshops, and full sets for a single engine are available where the OE specifies a matched set.

What gap do the plugs come with?

Plugs are supplied pre-gapped to the manufacturer specification for the reference. If your application needs a different gap, tell us before packing — regapping iridium plugs by hand risks damaging the electrode.

Send your OE list for a quotation

Tell us the OE numbers, quantities and destination port. We confirm fitment against your references and quote with export packing options.
